Schnapps for salmon and seafood
When it comes to most fish dishes and sandwiches with fish spreads, including salmon and seafood, a schnapps with fresh notes of citrus, among other things, is ideal. A schnapps with acidity compliments the fish well, which we often squeeze a lemon over. This creates a good harmony between the dish and the schnapps in a light and refreshing taste.
Our No. 6 Blueberry & Lemon or No. 2 Sea Buckthorn, Dill & Cucumber are both a great match for salmon and seafood, as they both come with a good acidity without dominating the taste experience.

Snaps for herring
Traditionally, a spiced schnapps or aquavit is often brought to the table when marinated herring, curry herring and fried herring are served. A spiced schnapps or aquavit is a sure winner in most cases, but there are a number of alternatives that can also greatly enhance the taste experience. Here we would recommend Blond Akvavit or a Bornholmer Traditionsakvavit.
If the herring is cooked with curry, a schnapps with a mild and sweet flavor is recommended. A No. 3 Figen, which adds a pleasant sweetness to balance the spicy flavor of the curry.
