French 75
The French 75 is a classic cocktail that dates back to 1920s Paris. It is made with gin, lemon juice, sugar and champagne or sparkling wine.
The cocktail's name is a reference to a French 75 mm artillery gun that was in use during World War I. This cannon was known to have a powerful effect, and the drink is said to have got its name because it has a similarly strong effect on the drinker's mood.

Ingredients
4 cl H.C. Andersen Gin
2 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tsp sugar
6 cl champagne or sparkling wine
Iced cubes
Lemon peel slice
Procedure:
Add the gin, lemon juice and sugar to a shaker with ice cubes.
Shake the mixture well together for about 10 seconds.
Strain the mixture into a champagne glass filled with ice.
Top with champagne or sparkling wine.
Stir gently in the glass.
Garnish with a slice of lemon zest and serve immediately.
Tip: If you want a less strong version of the drink, you can reduce the amount of gin to 2-3 cl and add a little more lemon juice and sugar to taste.
