Old Fashioned reindeer

This twist on the classic Old Fashioned replaces the whiskey with schnapps, but otherwise the recipe follows the same principles.

A barrel-aged schnapps is an excellent choice, as the deep oak tones are reminiscent of whiskey, which you won't miss when the spicy nuances of the schnapps come through. With a touch of orange peel, you get an elegant and sophisticated way to enjoy schnapps.

Ingredients

Procedure

  • Pour all the ingredients into a mixing glass.
  • Throw ice cubes into the glass and stir with a spoon for about 30 seconds.
  • Strain the contents into a glass with large ice cubes.
  • Take your orange peel and squeeze it over the glass so that the oil in the peel squirts out into the drink.
  • Garnish with lime if desired.

The organic Fadlagret Akvavit offers a deep and complex taste experience. With its deep, dark golden color and elegant curtains on the glass, it is a delight for both the eyes and the palate.
