Cocktails of the month - September
As we enter fall, the days start to get shorter and the evenings cooler. This is the time of year when we seek warmth and comfort in our surroundings - and why not in our drinks?
This month, Sambuca is the main ingredient in this month's cocktail of the month, a spirit that with its warm and spicy taste is perfect for the changing moods of fall.
What is Sambuca?
Sambuca is an Italian liqueur traditionally made with anise extract, which gives it a distinctive licorice flavor. This sweet, aromatic liqueur is often associated with warmth and coziness, making it ideal for those chilly September evenings. Sambuca has a rich and complex flavor profile that can be enjoyed both on its own and in cocktails, and its spicy notes perfectly complement the scents and flavors of autumn.
At Bornholm Spirits, our Sam & Frank Sambuca is made from organic anise and cane sugar for a clean and natural flavor that will give your taste buds an extraordinary experience.

Sambuca in Autumn: More Ways to Enjoy It
Beyond the Autumn Sambuca Sour and Spiced Sambuca Punch, there are many other ways you can incorporate Sambuca into your fall drinks:
Sambuca Coffee: Try a splash of Sambuca in your coffee for a warming afternoon drink. The spicy notes of Sambuca complement the bitter undertones of coffee, creating a rich, aromatic experience.
Sambuca and Coke: For a simple but flavorful drink, you can mix Sambuca with Coke. The licorice and anise flavor of Sambuca takes on an interesting depth when it meets the sweetness of cola.
Sambuca Martini: Mix Sambuca with vodka and a splash of lemon juice for a spicy and elegant fall martini.
