Honningsyp is a traditional Bornholm drink made from schnapps and honey. Perhaps the honey was originally added to hide the taste of a bad spirit, but in this version from Den Bornholmske Spritfabrik the keyword is quality! It is bottled at 32% alcohol and can be enjoyed anytime you feel the urge for a little sip of Bornholm's history.

The old steam distillery

The old steam distillery in Hasle, built in 1855, had a reputation for producing top-quality brandy. However, it was closed down shortly after the First World War, and Bornholm was (officially) without distillation for the next seventy years, with Bornholmer Akvavit being produced everywhere other than Bornholm. But in 1994 , Den Bornholmske Spritfabrik finally resumed the noble tradition of Bornholm brandy! The production is characterized by artisanal care and good raw materials.
